Hi everybody,
I am an old Esnips user and have downloaded thousands of Bengali, Hindi, English, Latino, Arabic songs from Esnips. Specially for Bengali. You just have to type in some relevant tag words in ’search’ dialogue box and you get a no. of search pages. It is trial and error method. Like, type ‘bengali songs’ or’ bangla gaan” etc. and you have a no. of users there. I have downloaded and saved them in my PC.
Most of them are connected to Calcutta Music Blog. Try it and you shall love it.

We use esnips as storage as we dont have that much space. what we do in addition is proper categorization so that you donr have to do trial and error method.

THE DOWNLOAD FUNCTION AT ESNIPS HAS BEEN ABOLISHED SINCE 2.12.2007. WE CAN NO LONGER DOWNLOAD SONGS.
THE UPLOADERS PLEASE MANUALLY ADJUST THE STTINGS SO THAT WE CAN DOWNLOAD SONGS.
THIS NEEDS TO BE DONE FOR EACH AND EVERY SONG INDIVIDUALLY BY THE UPLOADER.
IF THIS IS NOT DONE THERE IS NO FUN OF UPLOADING SUCH A GOOD COLLECTION OF SONGS IF WE CAN’T DOWNLOAD THESE.

I downloaded two files by this way. The first worked fine.
The second one when dragged/transferred to My Music from the Downloads f**ked off all my music collection 300-400 songs! They are gone nowhere to be found! The file was Aao bachcho tumhe dikhaein jhanki Hindustan ki. May be that file was corrupted!

Hi Rakib,
I downloaded to test it again on a different computer with empty My Music. I downloaded two songs of Jodha Akbar, they are fine.
But be aware some of the files may be corrupted and may spoil your music collection. It is better to burn the music in CDs and then download after about say 40-50 songs.

Free Music zilla is a VERY DANDEROUS software. My collection of about 70 songs again vanished. I did not open esnips even. I was trying free music zilla while playing songs from other downloadable songs website to see if it works with them. It did not work but my collection vanished again!

To my knowledge, Deepa/Deepak is possibly the only person to say FMZ is dangerous or that it “f**ks off mp3s from My Music”
My friends and myself have downloaded hundreds of mp3s from esnips with FMZ… absolutely no problem at all
Also, we are not the only ones who download from esnips this way… and FMZ is one of best available tool, i.e. it is not the only tool to download from esnips
One word of advice to Deepa/Deepak
Get your PC checked by a professional technician… there is nothing wrong with Free Music Zilla…
also… use a good antivirus / firewall application like Kaspersky Internet Security v7
I can give you one tip…
rename the files with a proper name i.e. replace the alphanumeric code and please be careful with drag/drop

The only saved files were whose names I had put in Hindi/Devnagri. Changing names of other songs removing alphanumeric codes did not save my files from vanishing.
First I thought that the file which I downloaded was corrupted, but secondly when I did not open the My Music, nor did I open esnips, I opened and played song from another site and opened FMZ. It did not grab the running music. And the problem I have already described. My “closed” Music collection vanished. It is a word of caution for those like me if they want to take it. Or else change the names of files to Devnagri/Bangla script.

Hello i’m from Indonesia.
I just got the exact same problem as what Deepa have experienced with the Free Music Zilla.
It is indeed a malware program if you don’t want to say it ‘a dangerous virus’.
About an hour ago, i just downloaded the FMZ program and when i started to use it, it did nothing but literally ‘free’ all more than 3000 (yes,three THOUSANDs) songs in my music file.
I am totally thrilled.
And since i haven’t seen any warning about the existence of this malware in any site,i think a better awareness of utilizing this program is worth to try.
I hope no shit will happen again to all of you,the fellow free-download-music-lovers, like i had an hour ago.
