Bangla Adhunik Gaan
Bangla Adhunik Gaan has probably come from Nazrulgiti. However Atulprasad Sen also did lot of experimentation with Bengali songs of that period. It is a completely new experimental type of Bengali music which is evolving everyday with numerous singers trying different things. We have a wide variety of Bengali Adhunik Songs here covering Manna Dey, Hemanta Mukherjee, Lata Mangeshkar, Manabendra and many more. Great job, very impressive. Now, if we could have some songs of Alpana, Utpala and some more of Geeta, that would be terrific. While on the subject of Geeta, is it possible to find records (I am assuming bakelite, not vinyl, being that old)) that are in better shape? I know it’s difficult, but may be there are some out there!
