I watched the movie and can’t resist appreciating one of the master class from Indian Cinema. What a depiction of friendship !! just amazing….This is third movie which broke me in tears , the first two being Mera Naam Joker and Shree 420. The two actors Sudhir Kumar and Shushil Kumar have performed as if they were born to play the role. They can’t be so much bonded even in real life as they are in the movie. Direction is also perfect with each emotion being captured and portrayed so simply but vividly . Mohan bringing lantern for Ramu was just superb and the way Ramu’s examination result is disclosed to Mohan at the end is so heart touching and emotional that one can hardly resist ones tears. I was lucky to watch it alone at night with no one around to disturb and was just captivated in the movie for 3 hours.

It will be a great injustice not to comment on songs. No wonder the film won all five best Filmfare awards of 1965. There couldn’t be a better lyrics and better voice . I usually fwd the songs while watching a movie on DVD but this was an exception as the songs are worth listening. Md. Rafi at his best …
It feels so bad that with so much advanced technology now a days in Bollywood somehow the real art and classics are lost and worst is that the loss is beyond repair with increasing commercialization and glamor. Gone are the days of real classics.
A must watch movie for all who love Indian Cinema.

I saw Dosti, when I was in my college. This movie presents the best example of Friendship and I think the songs gave real touch of emotions to the subject. I wss mesemerized by such a high quality of acting and presentation. And mean to say that this movie is very close to my heart.

I have watched this movie 3 times and each time it has touched me so deeply that I have been unable to stop the tears.
Sudhir Kumar and Shushil Kumar should have won awards for their perfect portrayal of their true life like characters. (Did they act in any other movies? - love to watch if they did). They were simply admirable and deserve unlimited praise. What can you say about the songs - lyrics and singer in perfect harmony, just made for each other. The Great Mohammed Rafi at his very best!

I saw Dosti many times.I like the friendship between two friends and at the end I am able to stop the tears in my eyes.

I watched this movie when I was in school. It was realy a wonderful movie on friendship I have ever seen really very touchy movie with so touchy songs. All songs are extraordinary and my favorites since I heard them first time.

according to me its an unique movie. it has no comparison with & its 2 songs:-

2. jane walo suno mudke dekho zara,ek insaan hu mein tumari tarah.
are my most favourte & touchy songs. these reflcts the preciousness of friendship with golden words & voice of Mohammed Rafi. any one who want to know the meaning & value of dosti(friendship) must see this movie.
